Treatable is a powerful and intimate exploration of the hidden struggles within a mother-daughter relationship. Both characters grapple with their own battles in silence, unaware of the depths of each other's pain. This 10-minute play, produced by Short Attention Span Theatre, offers a poignant look at the barriers that prevent open communication and the resilience it takes to confront personal struggles. Treatable was performed in 2024 at Cumbernauld Theatre and has since been adapted into a longer audio play version, available on the Theatrical Shenanigans podcast channel.

Written by Marnie Thomson, Superhero Anonymous is a quirky and heartwarming audio play about a weekly support group where individuals gather to share their so-called "talents" and "gifts." From the truly extraordinary to the hilariously peculiar, each member’s story adds a unique twist to the idea of what it means to be "super." Filled with humor, charm, and unexpected connections, Superhero Anonymous celebrates the oddities that make us human—and maybe just a little heroic.
You can listen to it below on the Theatrical Shenanigan's Two Year Anniversary Special. Superhero Anonymous starts at 1:03, with a little introduction from myself.
Set in the gritty streets of Glasgow, What’s the Punchline? delves into the lives of those connected to a struggling family-owned boxing gym on the brink of closure. Mia, the owner’s determined daughter, fights to save the gym by introducing female-only boxing classes, sparking resistance and skepticism. As tensions rise, hidden struggles come to light: a veteran coach haunted by past regrets, a young boxer battling crippling self-doubt, an influencer facing relentless misogyny, and a grandmother with a surprising history. Through choreographed movement and heartfelt conversations, the play explores themes of perseverance, camaraderie, and transformation, proving that true strength is found in unity and resilience. With a cast of eight dynamic characters, What’s the Punchline? is a raw and inspiring story still in its early stages of development.
